About us

Rooted in the Sisaala area, built for its girls.

The Elizabeth Bayong Foundation is a new community-based organisation working to raise educational engagement, literacy and exam results across the four Sisaala districts of the Upper West Region.

Our mission

Better results, and more girls going further

To improve educational engagement, literacy, BECE and WASSCE performance among students in the four Sisaala districts, with a specific focus on empowering female students.

Our approach

Working with the people already there

We partner with the Ghana Education Service, GNAT, traditional authorities and Catholic education units, and run every program on the academic-year cycle, from registration to competitions, awards and reporting.

What we stand for

Educate. Empower. Elevate.

Our motto shapes how our five programs fit together.
